Sustainability

 Its not just a buzz word. It is something that we hold close to our hearts and is a consideration on every action we take.

Being sustainable in the hospitality trade is not without its challenges.

From an environmental perspective we strive to reduce our waste, re-use and recycle and keep things as local as possible.

From our coffee, which spirits and beers we stock, our wine list (that is organic) to our syrups and concoctions we consider all the aspects to be sure we are being true to our ethos.

This year we will be working closely with other local businesses including a local farm and our menu will be linked directly to what that grow. This keeps the menu totally seasonal, challenges us to be as creative as possible so the guest receives the finest drink of the season and helps to curate collaborations around Cornwall.

But sustainability isn’t just environmental. We strive to take care of our community, our work colleagues and friends.

Tom Thumb is your local neighborhood bar and we are here year round.

You don’t have to buy a drink to come in if you are feeling unsafe or just need to escape the Cornish weather. We are members of numerous local groups to help support the community.
